Jun 25th 2009 10:26AM I'm interested in knowing what networks it can work on worldwide? I thought Verizon doesn't run GSM, and GSM was what most of the rest of the world runs.
How do you like your TiVo, with bleeps & bloops or without? {Engadget HD}
May 18th 2009 11:51AM I leave them on, but only hear them some of the time, since my only video source is over the air ATSC, and I always use my stereo amplifier for my sound output, which is connected to the optical output. The TiVo doesn't overlay sounds on dolby digital output, so much of what I watch misses out on the beeps. I keep wondering if an upgraded software load on the tivo will recover that functionality.

Ten years of TiVo: how far we haven't come {Engadget}
Apr 28th 2009 9:29PM I've been wanting a way to fully manipulate the Season's Passes from a computer. I don't believe that it's public via their API to be able to make a backup of the Seasons Pass.
If the Season's Pass list and ToDo list could be transferred off the machine easily, and manipulated, it would make moving to a new TiVo significantly less traumatic. It would also bring about the possibility of truly having a network of home TiVos. I'd consider buying a second TiVo if by having two TiVo's it was essentially adding two more tuners, and some level of auto use of each of the tuners, and streaming of video between units.
The Possibilities go in the direction that makes me want to experiemnt with Windows Media Center. The ability to pause a show on one TV and resume it on another. Not worrying about where a show was stored, but instead being able to utilize network storage.

Apr 23rd 2009 11:54AM Does this new Version3 unit really allow me to pair with two devices at the same time? (Could I connect to both my computer for VOIP calls and my cell phone?)
Is that new functionality to V3? I've got a V2, and because of the interface with no display believed that it could only be used with one device at a time.
