Jul 24th 2006 12:05PM I like the 2:35 cropped to fit my 16:9 screen. It would be very rare that anything significant is lost. We all clamor for large images, the cropping helps. Cropping to 1:33 significantly dilutes the image and is unacceptable.

Apparently I'm not as dumb as Mike and c.Lake.
All three of my HD display devices have HDCP compliant HDMI inputs. I also was an early adopter with an HD CRT display that I sold three years ago when I first learned of HDCP.
I'll be watching Blu-ray HD DVD's and you apparently will not.
The whole copy protection scheme will soon be defeated and you guys that have lagged behind will be able to enjoy your HD too.
I do agreee, the motion picture industry is the dumb-ass.

CES: Gefen's wireless HDMI solution {Engadget HD}
Jan 4th 2006 1:46PM Given the high price of the Gefen HDMI switches, I suppose it will be more than $500. It will certainly provide a lot of utility. Very very cool device if it works well.
