Dec 20th 2006 4:07AM Oppo is one of the best brands w/ great quality technology. I own many of their products for quite some time and they do wonders. Their dvd players not only do so much, (play divx,mp3,wma,.srt the list is endless) but they provide high quality images in addition to smooth control feel all b/c of the DCDi by Faroudja (chip). They also have great services, I noticed a few bugs and told the oppo.service and they fixed it in their next firmware update. Oppo actually originated from taiwan(www.oppo.com) and they have a branch in CA (www.oppodigital.com). This is probably one of the best dvd players out there(that plays almost anything you throw at it), but its no blu-ray or HD-DVD.
if ur looking for a dvd player though(upconverts to 1080p), this is one of the hottest dvd players out there(the ratings don't lie, benchmark #1!!!) buy one now at www.oppodigital.com
