Apr 19th 2008 10:19PM I have the 50" version of this set and I must say it out paces any other set I have seen. I am not sure why the Samsung scored higher but the Panasonic is an absolutely beautiful set, very happy with it.
Watching Serenity, on DVD, the star fields were deep and the thousands of pinpoints of star lights was just amazing. The ion storm fight scene was full of color and just floored me.

Apr 8th 2008 4:35PM Actually the 85U series does not have 48HZ playback. I have a TH-50PZ85U and can confirm this is not included on the set. However, the picture is beautiful and I love it.
