Nov 13th 2009 5:45AM I was hoping they'd move RGB LED into the mid-range, actually. Well, if that's not happening, I hope at least they'd have more sizes for the XBR 12.

Razer gets back to basics with $50 Abyssus gaming mouse {Engadget}
Nov 11th 2009 10:12PM A quick search found that the Razer Lachesis is going for $80 with the 4000dpi sensor. So in real terms this is going down a bit, to $40 I think. The 3200dpi Logitech G9 (original) is going for ~$50 but it does come with exchangeable grips. This Razer has more subdued styling, so if you want a "stealth" gaming mouse this almost works... except the glowing LED kinds of ruins that too.

Nov 11th 2009 7:10AM To back up what Kelmon said, if you need 100% sRGB color coverage for graphics, Asus doesn't offer anything that does (Apple and Dell have laptops that do this, and many nicer desktop LCDs do). Asus gives a lot of power for the money, but there's limits to what they do.

Nov 11th 2009 6:57AM (these are my thoughts; I'm not an expert. I cannot analyze the differences in image processing, build quality, your own requirements and a whole lot of other things...)

Nov 11th 2009 6:53AM At least there's local dimming and 120mhz eh? Still, an XBR8 55" is $5000 and a Blu-ray player $250-$2000 depending on features, no motorized stand and custom center channel (although the price difference is a decent home theater). There's no price on design, though, if you like this one that much.
