Google still could be successful by marketing android as a platform where Apple is going for a proprietary hardware-bound solution, but I was still hoping they would shake thinks up a little in their interface.

The macbook pro ships with a custom intel only compile of Flash 8 so it does not force safari to run under rosetta as you suggest. As for 8.5, I'm hoping this in the works for work with Flex 2.
