MLB At Bat adds in-app purchases {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Sep 1st 2009 3:02PM Reagrding the article, never at any time were all the feeds freely televised as implied. They added the daily live feed for 1-3 games, all free, early in the season. Then after the All-Star game, they opened up the live feeds for all games to MLB.TV subscribers but still offered 1 free game. Shortly there after it was back to 1-2 free games (usually 2) similar to before. So, the only real change was adding the feeds for the MLB.TV subscribers (and now the 99c games). The app continues to get better and better. $10 to listen to every game for the year? I can't complain.

As for the blackout restrictions (there from the beginning), that sucks. Happy to not have to deal with that.

MLB updates At Bat 2009 for iPhone, gives live streaming to MLB.TV users {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 21st 2009 4:11PM I really don't see how anyone can complain. MLB.tv was set up to be able to LISTEN to every home and away game for the entire frickin' year for $10!!!!! Then, they added the free 1-2 games to watch. That was a bonus. You still get at least one freebie game every day.

I can (sort of) understand if you were already subscribed to watch online, you should be able to get the mobile version, but I can also see the developers side. If you offered every game in HD for $70 a year, plus $10 more to include mobile watching, I don't think that's such a terrible offer. MLB has really done something right here.
