Nov 8th 2009 10:35AM Samsung's semiconductor division and Samsung's consumer electronics division are separate divisions within Samsung Electronics. They have their own agendas and strategies.
From a profit point of view, the company as a whole make more money selling semiconductors than consumer electronics. Even with a supposed "discount" they earn more money.

Nov 1st 2009 2:03PM Also, if you had read the AB's review, the author states even with a low tech suspension the car still performed up to par with higher tech suspension components. This brings up a good point: a low tech suspension with good implementation is better than a high tech suspension with poor implementation. Apparently, Kia used the brain powers of its engineers than throw money at it and be done with it.

Nov 1st 2009 2:00PM People in the compact car segment dont really look at handling as their number one priority. Space and utility is higher on their list of priorities.

An independent rear suspension would be nice as an auto enthusiast, however, it costs more money and takes up more space in the rear (which would increase rear trunk space by a good cubic feet). Notice how large the rear trunk is in the Forte.
