Verizon pushes VueKey as an alternative to CableCARDs {Engadget HD}

Oct 30th 2008 3:45PM Ben, I am fairly certain that tru2way replaces the need for a cable card or set-top box.

Simple "hack" yields extra resolutions from Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR {Engadget HD}

Dec 18th 2007 3:22PM ...sorry, I meant to mention that yes I have the SA 8300HD DVR.

Dec 18th 2007 3:21PM I am not sure if it is different with Time Warner Cable but I have Bright House Networks for my cable and no hack is needed as it is in the normal settings menu. You just the click settings button on the remote and choose the "More Settings" option. Then you will be able to select the output format from the folloing choice: 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i.

Bright House Networks to add 50 HD channels over next 18 months {Engadget HD}

Dec 5th 2007 4:06PM Why would Brighthouse want to carry the NFL network in HD when it only carries games during a few months of the year? Wouldn't it be better to use their limited bandwidth to carry a network that has more appeal than just a few months of the year.

Nielsen VideoScan High-Def market share for week ending November 11th, 2007 {Engadget HD}

Nov 16th 2007 6:15PM Ben, is it possible to get some numbers for movies that were released on both formats? I think seeing how the same title sells on both formats would be far more revealing. For example, "300" on blu-ray is number nine on the chart above so I wonder how many copies the HD DVD version sold?

Poll: Where do you stand in the format war? {Engadget HD}

Nov 13th 2007 1:31PM I probably would support HD DVD since but since I will be buying a PS3 anyway, I want blu-ray to win since then I won't have to buy a separate player.

I have used my PS2 as a DVD player for years and never had the need to purchase a separate DVD player.

Wii Warm Up: Wii Where? {Joystiq Nintendo}

Aug 5th 2007 11:53PM good deal

GameFly rate increasing by $1 due to mail and game cost {Joystiq}

Jun 5th 2007 5:13PM I had Gamefly a while back and my only complaint was their lack of an east coast distribution center. I didn't like how long it took to ship to FL and back. I think they were adding more distribution centers and maybe they have one on the east coast by now?

GameFly rate increasing by $1 due to mail and game cost {Joystiq}

Jun 5th 2007 5:04PM Someone explain why this is better than GameZnflix. I just signed up for their 1 game out $8.99 a month plan and its seems to work so far? Also they claim to have distribution centers on the east coast and west coast and elsewhere akthough my first game came from KY when they have a FL distribution center and I am in florida.
