Entelligence: Have we demonized DRM? {Engadget}
Sep 24th 2009 7:04PM DRM enables Microsoft to sell the Zune Pass, which is heaven for this music lover. So DRM can certainly be used for good things. That said, I'll agree with the user above that DRM is not such a good thing when it comes to things you buy and supposedly "own".
Tegra to hit 'media pads' soon says company man Mike Rayfield {Engadget}
Aug 24th 2009 11:48AM I'm more interested in getting Tegra in a smartphone. The bummer I saw from the clip was when he said the difference in time between the rollout of a media player and a smartphone is "literally" carrier qualification, which is 6 months. That means we won't see these badboys in a phone until at least February. Bummer, I was hoping before Christmas. I want to get rid of my Nokia E63 ASAP. I hate that phone and I hate AT&T.

Zune rumors heat up, MS getting ready to launch Zune software on phones? {Engadget}
Apr 14th 2009 10:14PM I agree completely. Zune isn't popular enough to sell Windows Mobile phones so why not build popularity for the Zune system by putting it on all sorts of phones?
Zune rumors heat up, MS getting ready to launch Zune software on phones? {Engadget}
Apr 14th 2009 9:41PM No, it does not work nicely. Windows Media Center doesn't play Zune Pass tracks and the music player in the dashboard doesn't play WMA lossless tracks and has no album art. MSFT needs to provide the great user experience you get in the Zune software and allow for videos purchased on the 360 and PC to play on each other.

Apr 14th 2009 3:23PM Modern-day (non-commercial) music is actually as good as it's been in the last thirty years or so, but this is The Beatles. And they're fully deserving of their reputation.
