Raon Digital's Vega UMPC unboxing / impressions {Engadget}
Sep 13th 2006 6:28AM I want one of these things but I also wanted to ask a few questions.
How was the feel of the silver mouse pad? Do you think it would work for light gaming like say for an nes emulator? Do the other buttons have any clicky or give to them and are they easy to press? Did you try hardware screen rotation yet? Is the device going to be too hot to handle for long use periods? Thank you.

Sep 13th 2006 6:19AM I agree the next step for auto makers should be the diesel engines since it has been proven for decades, I think they are just jumping way out there with hydrogen engines.
Many upfront ad buys not firmed up yet {AdJab}
Sep 13th 2006 6:16AM The leverage has gone from the networks back to the advertisers. There are no must-buy shows or nights, unless you are a movie company or retailer that needs Thursdays, or an advertiser who wants to launch product during a particular time of year. There is no need to rush to firm up orders, and the networks have been very accommodating.
Ubisoft steers GT Pro Series onto the Wii {Joystiq Nintendo}
Sep 9th 2006 8:58AM I'm sure everybody saw the obvious potential for a racing game for the Nintendo Wii by using the remote as a virtual steering wheel. However once we slapped that remote to an actual steering wheel, the gameplay and driving feel multiplied and we knew that we had to bundle a wheel so everybody can enjoy the same experience we had.

Red Sox vs Yankees live in Second Life {Second Life Insider}
Sep 9th 2006 8:53AM The Electric Sheep Company has just announced that it’s going to be hosting real-time enactments of two major league baseball games this month at a virtual Yankee Stadium. Electric Sheep worked with MLB.com to do something similar for their Homerun Derby earlier this year. Seats are going to be limited to 45 per game (presumably to cut down on lag) and tickets are going to go on sale next week at SLBoutique.com. Looks like they’re going to go for about L$500 each, or roughly $1.50 U.S. The games will be held in a virtual recreation of the yet-to-be-built Yankee Stadium and showcase tiny representations of real world baseball players throwing, catching, running and batting.
