Automatic for the People: Maserati delivers first 70 Quattroporte Automatics {Autoblog}
Jan 23rd 2007 9:15AM My dad worked at a Maserati dealer until recently, and said this would be an enormous help for the marque. The Cambiocorsa system took significant effort to master without being jerky, and to be honest, he said that while men loved it, their wives would love it until they tried shifting it. He said this alone resulted in about 80% of potential buyers starting their search for an exclusive sedan anew.

Dec 30th 2006 2:41AM I've sort of hit my limit, too, in the sense that I have what I need.
I have maybe 200 or so titles I've scrounged up over the last seven or eight years, but I haven't bought that many this year. I already have the ones I need. Good stuff comes out very rarely now that I'm "caught up", so to speak..
Porsche produces 200,000th Boxster {Autoblog}
Nov 20th 2006 4:48PM "no surprise, as the North American continent accounts for 40% of global Boxster sales."
No surprise? All things equal, wasn't there only a 40% chance? I'm not really a betting man, but those aren't my kind of odds.

Oct 16th 2006 9:27AM The base price of a 2006 C2 911 is $71,300, not $90k. I could live with a rounding error, but $20k (see?) is a bit much.

Lifetime TiVo subs transferrable to Series 3 -- for a price {Engadget}
Sep 7th 2006 10:35AM Not cool.
I paid $199 for my lifetime subscription back in the day. I'm sorry, I want an HD Tivo with lifetime subscription, but $1000 is a *LOT* of money, especially when my SD Tivo has *so much* life left in it - I even upgraded it to 180gb / 180 hours a few years back.
I'll wait until the box is $300-400, and then suck up the $13/month. And my SD box will keep on chugging.
Back when I was a kid, that was $9.95/month, by the way!
