Aug 7th 2008 1:25PM Acch!! I can't stand Sanchez! I think the first time I realized how awful he is was last year after the bridge collapes. He took an Atlanta city engineer out to survey some of the bridges in the area and wouldn't stop pestering the engineer with outlandish fear mongering questions. The engineer, much to his credit, was a true professional and deflected every question with a large dose of truth. So for instance when Sanchez, not so much asked but stated "So, at any minute, this bridge that carries thousands of cars every day, could just completely collapes." The engineer carefully replied that was not the case, that inspectors evaluated every bridge for safety and he was confident that all of Atlanta's bridges were structurally sound. This didn't stop Sanchez from twisting the engineers words into a statement on the inability to properly evaluate every bridge and the inevitability that soon a bridge in Atlanta would come tumbling down. It was awful television and even worse news. I will definitely find somethign else to watch from 3-4. Maybe Discovery will have a Mythbusters rerun.

Jul 18th 2008 9:05AM So, seriously? Where are the big buffs that will balance the fact that a mages crowd control will now cost such a huge chunk of his mana pool? What about a proportional cost/benefit scenario? It will be 12% of your base mana, and for every 100 mana points that entails it will add a 1 sec bonus to the sheep.
Come on Blizz, yeah, the best mages out there can rock teh Arenas, the best mages out there can hold their DPS up to stellar levels and lay the smack down in raids, but in a patch that buffs so many other classes to nerf crowd control?!? Where's our awesome DPS buffs? Where's our enhanced mana pool control?
Not QQ'ing, just hoping and reminding Blizz that if you want people to play mage, you've got to give as much as take away.

Breakfast Topic: Mount money and patch 2.4.3 {WOW Insider}
Jul 15th 2008 9:18AM I went ahead and bought the mount. I hit the 91G I needed and, thinking the patch was like two months away, figured do it. Of course this is with my 46 mage, my highest level toon so far. I may have jumped the gun, but I don't think I'll be that bothered. I don't really buy anything else except for mats for tailoring and those can be pretty easy to come by. That said, I wish they had put out a release date for 2.4.3, cause if it springs today, I will be a little miffed. That would've bought an awful lot of runecloth.
