Confirmed: Google was naughty, broke App Store rules with iPhone app {Engadget}
Nov 26th 2008 1:57PM Apple is really dropping the ball with this imo. Let developers use the phone to it's fullest and they will come up with some incredible apps making apple and the developers money and especially us consumers happy. I understand they like a controlled ecosystem for their devices but come on, this is so much wasted potential.

Nov 19th 2008 7:55PM That's a shame. I played the demo on pc and 360 and really enjoyed it. I was hoping it was just the tip of the iceberg but it doesn't seem so. While I was hoping to be persuaded to buy it for pc I think I'll end up renting it.

Nov 19th 2008 11:53AM The 3 months nokia maps is free for it anyways and in all newer gps enabled nokia phones I believe. Additional months though cost quite a bit though certainly not 50 lbs remaining in that price for. That works out to probably to 6 months to a year nokia maps service.

Apple's 24-inch LED Cinema Display is go for purchase {Engadget}
Nov 18th 2008 1:14PM I personally am leaning towards VA as the price seems too good to be true but I hope for possible buyers it is as that would be a hell of a deal.
Apple's 24-inch LED Cinema Display is go for purchase {Engadget}
Nov 18th 2008 1:09PM Everyone is claiming this is an IPS panel but I have yet to see anything official on it and after a quick visit to the mac forums people there are claiming they don't know as well in posts as recent as today. So before everyone going on and saying this is the deal of the century lets wait and see what is really under the hood. If it's a PVA panel it will still be of great quality and fair price but an IPS LED panel with this price is a steal so I remain skeptical yet hopeful for all those would kill for such a screen at such a price. If someone has definitive information though by all means let me know as christmas is coming up :)

Nov 17th 2008 5:45PM Really when it comes down to it the only piece of hardware your paying extra for games is usually the graphics card and memory though nowadays those can enhance other things like photoshop, video encoding and various other media applications. Who honestly uses a pc just for gaming? I had to purchase a powerful cpu and 4gb of memory so I could run certain engineering applications from home instead of having to run to the computer labs every time I want something done. I made sure to buy a adequate power supply when I originally put my pc together and later threw in a 4870 for gaming an voila work and gaming computer. So from my perspective I paid probably an extra $350 w/ gpu, heatsink for overclocking, and a little bit better memory for a machine that is able to significantly outshine my 360 in graphics. Plus games are cheaper so you definitely widdle away at that price. Graphics are nice but don't make the game. I still pay extra for certain 360 games because most of my friends are on live and playing online with them trumps better graphics though I really have a hard time giving up free mods and sometimes can't. You haven't seen what oblivion can really do till you mod it on pc imo. I prefer my pc but go where the fun is. Simple as that.

Nov 14th 2008 1:42PM Better have a lot of re-playability if you want my $60. The only thing I'll pay that much for that consists of a couple minutes of fun is.... never mind
