Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days + NA release confirmed = headline {Joystiq}

Dec 2nd 2008 6:54PM I sure am glad I have random internet strangers to tell me what bands are cool.

Zelda director won't quit until he surpasses Ocarina of Time {Joystiq}

Nov 30th 2008 12:49AM You spelled "lishen" wrong. =)

Nov 29th 2008 4:39PM I was trying to err on the side of the Wii not being able to do any better. But you have a point: more careful design choices (like the color palette) would have helped. There have been prettier GC and Wii games, so maybe it could have been improved.

Nov 29th 2008 4:11PM I will admit I've probably been spoiled by HD graphics. Its not ugly, its just not up to modern standards. Not the Zelda teams fault.

I do agree with what you said about the pointer. That part is awesome.

Yes, the fighting has never been overly difficult, but I think the waggle makes it harder. I've had so many cheap deaths and I'm only like 3 hours in. The emphasis on "press a to jump after midna" and "use midna's freakish monster arm to pull this lever" does indicate a more casual direction.

Nov 29th 2008 3:48PM Then hes going to have to abandon the waggle. I just started playing TP. The sword motions were fun at first, but in the heat of battle aren't precise enough. The controls are even worse in wolf mode. I'm starting to regret getting the Wii (vs the gamecube) version.

It would also be nice to have one that doesn't look like ass. Ocarina was beautiful for its day, and in many ways still is. Between the muddy textures and the AA, it looks like there's mayonnaise on my screen.

I remember people loving this when it came out. Maybe it will take a little while to wow me.

Windows 7 WARP system to allow for DirectX 10 CPU acceleration {Engadget}

Nov 28th 2008 2:26PM How do you expect them to support hardware they don't make and drivers they don't write. Its not like Win7 prevents sli and crossfire. Nvidia and ati will provide support for their own products like they always have.
