Jan 6th 2009 3:07PM I had mixed feelings about the show, but I was willing to give it a shot. Unfortunately, as stated, the networks are run by advertisers, and NBC backed off like a ten-year-old who's been caught in daddy's porno drawer.

Oct 20th 2008 9:55PM I noticed a little detail that shows how close they look into the details sometimes... The shot of the bus offloading in San Pedro, then you see two men in white Navy jumpers walk in the background... alluding to the now closed Long Beach Naval Base that bordered San Pedro.

Oct 12th 2008 11:46AM The MTV HD that was on 730 was MHD, an HD channel by MTV (but not the HD feed of MTV itself) it disappeared because MTV recently renamed the channel Palladia HD to avoid confusion between MHD and the MTV HD channels.
Either way, I'm in Imperial Beach, and I'm looking forward to the new channels on my TiVo, Though I won't have to update my season passes till AMC HD and Comedy HD arrive...

May 17th 2008 12:16PM Life on Mars will be a tough one to live up to, since the BBC version was fantastic... there's questions though to how this version can stand up to the original:
Will this be a pre-destined 2-season series like the original? And if so, how will American censors handle the controversial ending to the series?
Colm Meaney is a great actor, but can he pull off "The Gene Genie"?
Where's the David Bowie music? that was the entire purpose to the original series and it fit the theme exactly.
and lastly, If this works, will we see a US version of the follow-on spinoff of Ashes to Ashes?
