NYT: Ziff-Davis considering online-only future for EGM {Joystiq}
Nov 21st 2008 7:52AM Okay, first of all I think that it is AMAZING that the number one concern here is for toilet time. Seriously, I love that.
Second, my iPhone has become my toilet companion. I think as the Interner shrinks, our options increase. and in all honesty, EGM is cool and all. But how often do you read it and think, "Wow, this is all new information to me!"
Netflix NXE activation seems to be down for some [updated] {Joystiq}
Nov 19th 2008 10:35AM I was dissapointed too that I couldn't get Netflix up and running this morning. Especially since I could give a flying fuck about the other new features. Glad to hear that I am not alone. Misery fucking loves company.
On a side note, where would Netflix errors go to? MS or Netflix? Which customer support would you turn to?
Reminder: NXE releases early this morning [update] {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Nov 19th 2008 7:26AM I am the same Netflix boat as the people above. Couldn't get the code to work. In this case, is that a Netflix issue or a Live issue? I didn't bother calling either number up. I just figured the problem will be resolved by the time I get back from work.

Nov 18th 2008 12:24PM Flat textures...you hit the nail on the head. Playing the demo, I wasn't sucked in. It just felt like a step backwards tech was. It seemed kind of fun, but I wasn't digging the feel. This should have been more of a budget game because it doesn't seem like a polished product like the price indicates.
NXE trailer shows off Primetime [update] {Xbox 360 Fanboy}
Nov 13th 2008 1:00PM I totally just came in my pants.
Oh and by the way, the video didn't load for me.
Sony's new Reader close to greatness, but a bit too dim {Engadget}
Nov 12th 2008 8:06AM My father-in-law has this reader. I checked it out this weekend. The screen seemed perfect to me. Plenty bright enough. I mean, it doesn't reach retina damaging levels of brightness, but maybe that is a good thing. My wife's 85 year old grandmother tried it out and could read fine on it. I am guessing this isn't that big of an issue.
Ask Engadget HD: What's the best movie rental service? {Engadget HD}
Nov 6th 2008 8:49AM I have been a memeber of Netflix for over SIX YEARS!! I remember what made me join. My wife and I are huge fans of indie and foreign films. Well, we didn't get a chance to see the critically acclaimed Mexican film 'Y Tu Mama Tambien' in the theater. It was rated NC-17 and didn't play many places. So it came out on video and everyone carried the edited down 'R' rated version. I didn't want that. If the director made an NC-17 movie, then that is the movie that I wanted to see. I didn't want to see what Blockbuster thought I should be seeing.
So I had remembered hearing about this new fangled service called Netflix. I checked them out online and holy sweet Jebus, they carry NC-17 movies! Including Y Tu Mama Tambien. So I joined and rented the movie (it was amazing by the way). The service worked great and I haven't stepped one foot into a video store since.
