May 1st 2009 7:43PM I had a hell of a time getting XP on one of these models with the AMD cpu. HP leaves you flailing in the wind and you gotta be a freakin' sherlock holmes to figure out which combo of XP boot disk and drivers will do the trick.
Ugobe files for bankruptcy, Pleo facing extinction {Engadget}
Apr 21st 2009 6:10AM I own a Pleo. He's been on my shelf doing nothing since about 60 days after I purchased him.
There weren't enough software updates. Battery life was very short, and initially you couldn't buy a second battery. His motors were too loud.
On the other hand, he was loved by crowds. People really enjoyed petting him and playing with him when I brought him to meetings in the office.
An interesting but expensive and limited product. I've thought about putting him on eBay, but would anyone want him?
/his name is Horatio.

Apr 8th 2009 12:58PM Another vote for that Samsung. I went with the 630 series as the 650 had a glare issue in my home, but they are both wonderful and competitively priced. I had to do quite a bit of tweaking on my 46" 630, but it looks amazing now.
