Opinion: Why I can't go beyond the first 5 mins of Call of Duty: World At War {Joystiq}

Nov 12th 2008 1:16AM I actually wrote a rebuttal to this.

http://www.destructoid.com/blogs/dvddesign+/i-don-t-buy-joystiq-s-logic-and-i-can-t-sympathize--111153.phtml

Click on it if you want or repost it here if you deem it worthy to save others the page clicks, I don't care, but I felt it worthy to actually write a compelling reply and I didn't want to just dump it here amongst the other 300+ replies to be ignored.

Jan 30th 2008 10:05AM My favorite episode is the "Remonster" episode.

Actually, any episode with the Plutonians is an excellent episode.

AT&T U-verse adds more HD channels {Engadget HD}

Oct 10th 2007 10:29AM I don't complain about the service, because better than SD is better than no HD at all, but the HD leaves something to be desired on UVerse.

I look forward to seeing Wolf Blitzer and Larry King in HD soon.

Joyswag: Joystiq's Legendary Halo 3 Giveaway {Joystiq}

Sep 25th 2007 8:43PM I wouldn't want to fight a Brute. Too persistent, mean and tough to fight, even with weapons.

Fanswag: Win the ultimate Halo 3 setup {Xbox 360 Fanboy}

Sep 25th 2007 8:41PM I think it'd be swell to have one of these. Count me in.

Fanswag: Fanboys Fight for The Darkness {Xbox 360 Fanboy}

Jun 27th 2007 10:56AM The 360 version of The Darkness is better than the PS3 version because I'm more likely to find other people to play with online, and I'll have easier voice chat capabilities.

PSA: 160GB Apple TV now shipping {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Battlestar Galactica: Crossroads, Part 1 {TV Squad}

Mar 20th 2007 10:55AM Dang this is killin' me. I know a page that has the spoilers for next weeks episode. I can go look at it and know how it ends and everything, but I don't want to. But I do want to. Thank you everyone who isn't posting spoilers.

I really liked this episode, of course, this is throwing us a bone when we've had like 5 weeks of nothing at all. Maelstrom, for all it's outcomes and whathaveyou, was as boring as they come. WAY too predictable, and honestly, really not planned very well. It's like they watched and episode of LOST to determine how to deal with Starbuck and copied an episode of LOST, almost to a tee. And every episode between Maelstrom and the Eye of Jupiter episodes were filler to the Nth degree. Like worse than X-files filler. At least on X-files, they worked case to case for the most part, and the conspiracy stuff that was core to the series was kept in chunks more easily dispersed throughout the season.

RDM could stand to learn a thing or two about pacing out the main story arc with BSG so we don't wind up with 4-5 hours of boring filler in a season.
