Back to the topic - I'm glad HD DVD has a number to call. Blu-ray probably won't set one up 500,000 calls about why their 1.0 player won't do PIP or online content would get old really fast too. The PS3 crowd would just call the number thinking it was a free number to tell how many times they've wacked it just looking at their ps3 - They say it's sexxy....

Aug 31st 2007 1:48PM I wonder if the reason for the bad croping is that they tried to release it too quickly. Could it be the process takes too long or is cubersome so their efforts were focused elsewhere - that title did have some extra next gen stuff didn't it? (dice game?) If that's the case then part of the blame would be at BD for complex software and Disney for poor QA.

Oh, one other thing - so lets say BD does finalize the spec in October - and lets jump even further out on a limb and say they have the largest catalog of online content EVER! Um, MOST of the BD players don't have ethernet connections to access it! LOL f*&king ROFL - If I would have bought a stand alone BD player I would be very pissed right now.....
Oh, and just to be fair yes the ps3 has ethernet as well as the pioneer elite player for $1500 - my HD-A1 has had it since I bought it over a year ago. I can't wait for 300 to come out, I'm even going to buy Blood Diamond just because of the online features - a movie I never would have bought if it didn't have the online extras.

Jun 28th 2007 1:17PM One of the main reasons you can't count all ps3's as bluray players is that only 30% of all ps3's sold are attached to high def televisions. Which is a huge reason the BD attach rate is so low. Yes, there are some people that actually bought the ps3 to just play games... Whereas with the 360 HD add on, it's only intent is to be an HD DVD player.
