Samsung's 750-series Touch of Color LCDs now shipping {Engadget HD}
May 8th 2008 4:20PM Bought it from Amazon last week. The 46" model looks pretty good 0 dead pixels and no banding issues that many Samsung and Sony customers have been complaining about. Preloaded "Interactive" content is pretty cool but I haven't hooked it up to Internet yet. It comes with Ethernet port but no cables, 3+ HDMI ports and no hdmi cables... The ONLY composite video input is on side of tv.
ToC (touch of color) is just reddish paint sandwiched between Plexiglas/acrylic bezel. Unless someone does a 'case-mod'-like upgrade, you won't even notice this 'touch' of color unless sun is glaring at it from behind.
Since Samsung bluray (live) player will not be out for a while, pairing this with SONY PS3 is probably your best bet.
I now how to either buy a wireless bridge or drag two eithernet cables to it from my Verizon FIOS wireless router.
FIOS TV cablebox will only do 1080i or 720p so you will not take full advantage of your new purchase unless you also get a bluray player that does 1080p.
TV itself is supposed to be able to play AVI files but I have to check which codecs it will support. I think xvid is the only one but it may support divx as well (if not now then maybe in the future)
USB port is very handy and makes it easy to display digital camera's photos. There is supposed to be a wireless adapter that goes right into it but I don't think it's available in USA yet.

I have purchased lemons before as well - remember Atari Jaguar? I admitted to myself that $250 that I spent was a waste of money, cut my losses and sold it for $150 to some guy in Washigton, DC :)
Then Sony PS1 came out and I was glad I still had $150 to put towards something decent AND that I didn't keep buying horrible games for a crappy platform.

Jun 29th 2007 1:48PM yes and no. I have Motorola STEREO bluetooth headphones that I purchased one year ago and it will "work" with Iphone but not in stereo - It's Iphone's hardware or software limitation.
In order for stereo to work, iphone would have to support A2DP.

Jun 25th 2007 4:16PM brad is correct. edge is slow. I would wait until September 2007 when T-Mobile's 3G network (or whatever they are calling it these days) goes LIVE. I assume T-Mobile's version of Iphone will follow 3 months after that. Yes, Nokia is courting them now (tmo) w/ their 3G devices but I think T-Mobile has enough clout to demand non-exclusivity.
