Tech companies: how not to market your new iPhone killer {BloggingStocks}

Apr 12th 2008 2:27AM I agree with Zach Bass. Rarely do industry competitors come out and say "We have an iphone killer in the wings!" Rather, its the analysts that build up the hype around the device based on tech specs. The only thing I really agree with you on Tobias is the fact that they might as well not call the device the "iphone killer" because well, if they really had a killer, it would have been to the market first.

By the way, your spelling is atrocious.

Truphone demos VoIP for iPhone {Engadget}

Nov 20th 2007 4:36PM You people that bitch about having to sit in a hot spot all day are foolish. The point is that many of us spend copious amounts of time on the phone at school, work, home, etc which ALWAYS eats into your rate plan. I don't know about you guys, but I've got wifi in all the above locations where I spend most of my time. Just cause I don't sit in a starbucks all day which is where most people think a "hot spot" are, doesn't mean this breakthrough isn't leaps and bounds beyond any wireless communication at this time. They are just now starting to come out with DEDICATED wifi phone such as Linksys's iphone. These are single use devices that cost $150 at the cheapest! Try telling me again the iphone is an overpriced "toy" when it can accomplish much more than the avg phone. Just wait to see what the future holds.

A second on Palm's Foleo: Can Palm bridge the 'truly mobile PC' divide? {BloggingStocks}

May 30th 2007 7:19PM seems like a piece of junk to me. For roughly $250 more you could have a "full blown lap top" that could do many many more things than this device as well as have massive storage. It makes no mention of usb connections or other ports and seems vastly underpowered by todays standars. Sure Linux is cool but I think the trend it drifting away from having multiple devices not towards it. Probably a miss on Palm's part.

Google cooking up more apps for the iPhone and other details {Engadget}

May 28th 2007 7:34PM no...some articles about 4 months ago were quoting google as saying that in the future they wanted to "focus on collaborating with apple" or something to that affect. And thus, we are starting to finally get wind of these applications.

EU investigating HD DVD, Blu-ray licensing terms {Engadget}

Jul 29th 2006 2:25AM In response to icymorebutt's comments, you should read up on the facts before running your mouth. The idea of MPEG-2 making you sick is too bad, cause here are the facts: Blu-ray discs support encoding in up to 24-bit/192kHz for up to six channels, or up to eight channels of up to 24-bit/96kHz encoding. For reference, even new big-budget Hollywood films are mastered in only 24-bit/48kHz, with 16-bit/48kHz being common for ordinary films.

End result: Higher quality uncompressed audio, soon to be the de-facto in the DVD world.
