Dec 8th 2007 12:02PM the venturer hd dvd player is indeed the same as the toshiba hd-a3. it even has the same firmware. at $199, it is quite a steal of a deal in canada, where it is $100 less then the a3.

Mar 23rd 2007 2:35AM according to wiki its a 1.0 ghz pentium m. i don't see how this thing has the power to do hd. i guess it'll be low bitrate 720p. still tho, my pc at 2.2 ghz can't even do that. guess it could have some hardware decoding.

Nov 13th 2006 4:06PM not true. no one has gotten windvd8 to go over 540p yet. windvd has admitted that they have intentionally restricted it due to concerns over aacs.
