The tanking Rogue strikes again, 5-mans Gruul {WOW Insider}

May 20th 2008 7:46PM In FFXI, the class is call "Ninja". They tank by evasion and using tools to create an illusion (shadows) that there are four of them, thus the mob will missed because it doesn't know which shadow is real.

Having play both, FFXI's Ninja and WoW's Rogue are very similar. I think having a Rogue be able to tank is a very good idea. Think about it, WoW have tank shortage and Rogue can never get group (because there are tons of them), having Rogue tank kills two birds with one stone.

300 HD DVD & Blu-ray review roundup {Engadget HD}

Jul 27th 2007 6:57PM Alright! I can't wait to see the sales figures for this and see which HD version sells more.

Of course I can see the excuses from fanboys now..."HD-DVD only sells more because WB gimp the Blu-ray version"..."Blu-ray only sells more because the movie is tailored made for PS3 demographic!"

So lets make a deal, no excuses if your chosen format lost (this round) and just admit your chosen format suck (this round).

Dave Zatz's take on Xbox Live Marketplace {Engadget HD}

Dec 11th 2006 7:28PM Xbox 360 is not too loud when playing movies, but it's not dead silence like most standalone DVD players either. So if you have been using a standalone DVD player for the past half decade, you will notice the 360's sound.

Games, on the other hand, is way to too loud for my taste. I have to turn the volume way up to compensate for the noise. And it's not event the system's fan that's making the noise, it the freaking DVD drive.

Would it be technically possible for MS to put an option in the dashboard so we can decide how fast the DVD drive spins? During late night gameplay, when I can't have the volume way up, I rather have drive spins slower with less noise, but with more load time.

Netflix CEO sees HD DVD and Blu-ray war "maintaining stalemate" {Engadget HD}

Jul 25th 2006 7:13PM Both side are greedy #~%$(&! So you can't really put a halo on either camp. They had a chance to unified the formats, but were too greedy to compromise.

But you gotta hand it to Sony though, right now they are more hated then Microsoft (at least around the web and internet forums anyway)...which is quite a task.

With that said, I'll still be getting a PS3 because of Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII.

Nintendo knows best when it comes to HD? {Engadget HD}

Jul 24th 2006 4:43PM I'm a huge Nintedo fan, and recently got the DS Lite even though I already have the original DS. But to me personally (as a twenty-something male with disposable income), their strategy with Wii really turn me off.

The idea that we have to choose between HD or gameplay is BS. Why can't we have both? *jumping up and down and screaming like a child* ;P

And are they implying that just because PS3 and 360 support HD, thus they will lack gameplay quality? That's BS. Metal Gear Solid 4 will show us that HD graphich and gameplay can co-exists.
