Man threatens to shoot iPhone at Genius bar {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Oct 3rd 2009 9:21AM for anybody outside of the US it is still unbelievable that people are allowed to carry a gun. You may say it´s a right, but while society advances. so should rights. The wild west is long gone people, guns are for war. Definitely not malls.
Apple store is down... and now back up {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Sep 21st 2009 5:31AM what kind of ecommerce setup is that. having to go offline almost an entire day (at least in europe) to update some prices and labels?
even if it is a technical update with backoffice updates it is rediculous to go offline. any self respecting e-commerce platform as capable of updating without downtime.
Insight 1G: first-gen Honda Insight with diesel upgrade gets 80 mpg {Autoblog Green}
Sep 11th 2009 7:33AM why didn't thys just buy a 1.2L diesel audi a2 from 2000?
this car was also doing the same mileage and looks an awfull lot better.. why do you think the lupo was called the lupo 3l? In europe they measure mileage by liters per 100 km.
80 MPG means 2.9 L/100KM
so what did these guys achieve? putting a standard tdi engine in an ugly japanese car and keep the existing low miles per gallon of the engine....
i think it's a waste of a lupo rather than an achievement.
iCal all-day events causing MobileMe calendars to hiccup? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Sep 9th 2009 4:04AM I have found mobileme and idisk pretty much useless. multiple synching errors. data that could not be merged, slowness. unavailability etc (i live in europe). i have cancelled my subscription and configured google on bothh my and my wife´s iphone.
all works seamless now.
apple would better put some effort in and make this thing a lot more accessible.
Survey: Average iPhone user has spent $80 on apps {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Sep 8th 2009 8:08AM the average price is largely increased by the few people who buy navigon or tomtom for $99,-

Rumor: Apple TV news on Sept. 9 {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Sep 2nd 2009 2:04PM apple would be a lot smarter if they would build their media sharing strategy around the widely adopted DLNA standard. my TV uses it, My NAS supports it, and my itunes.. well.... it doesn't. meaning my music is indeed twice. once by itunes, and once by my Nas DLNA server.... now that's handy??

Pogue on the Apple TV {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Mar 22nd 2007 9:00AM it's only a matter of time before single click conversion scripts and proggies come out. aside from that, some download locations will be adjusted for appletv and offer material allready in the right format exactly like they did when ipods started to play movies.
i have been using a mac mini for some time to whatch all my media, and if the appletv can do the same but easier I think it's a winner. while we do not have movies and tv shows in the itms. i will be converting all my material for itunes soon.
Engadget HD giveaways: NeoDigits Helios X3000 {Engadget HD}
Oct 16th 2006 4:43AM My current preferred method of streaming at the moment is using my infrant readynas X6 for all the contents, and in the living room I have a Mac mini using mediacentral to play the lots. in the bedroom i use my macbook in the same manner.
preferred however would be a full featured nas/recorder which records from DVB by keyword. and adds media to my itunes library by category (tvshows / movies / music video's)
seems not possibel yet though)
