CalDAV support comes to Google Calendar {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jul 30th 2008 1:51PM Over the last few months, I've been really liking the open source Chandler Server's iCal integration (also using CalDAV). Now I'll have to see if Chandler can talk to Google, as well.

Jul 9th 2008 1:47PM Why no gigabit ethernet? :-/
Having a separate product (Droboshare, $200) is pretty lame. $700 for just a networked empty box? There are multi-drive, gigabit boxes out there for $80 and less.

Jun 27th 2008 11:15AM Actually @schmitty338, "About three-quarters of Canada's population live within 150 kilometres (90 mi) of the US border" (ref. ), so you could service 3/4 of Canada with a single, long line of cell towers.

HackTV Take 2: The AppleTV Hack Upgrade Liveblog {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Mar 17th 2008 6:57PM I've been wondering if I should just hook up the Apple TV (Take Two) drive, install MacPorts on it and use *their* sshd? It should set up correctly (as long as I'm careful with --prefix directives..). Hell I could chroot to the Apple TV's volume to install it. As long as I boot from my Tiger partition.

Jan 29th 2008 2:10PM There are no 1080p videocameras for under $1,000. There are lots of 1080i/720p ones though.
The cheapest 1080p camera is about $4k I think.

Will iTunes truly support interoperability? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Apr 4th 2007 2:27PM "songs are in the AAC file format, not MP3. While this arguably standard/non-standard file type is considered by some to be proprietary to Apple and/or the iTunes Store, this is entirely not the case"
Indeed, it's not the case at all: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Audio_Coding#Standardization

Dec 22nd 2006 1:13AM I'm really liking my Monoprice HDX-501 5-port HDMI switch, which only cost me $122.73, and includes a remote control (with blinky blue lights on the front). See pictures of it at http://flickr.com/photos/clith/tags/hdmi
