How would you change Apple's unibody MacBook / MacBook Pro? {Engadget}

I can say that after 2 months of use, I STILL WANT A MATTE SCREEN!!!!!!!
I also want a return to FW400. I want a return to the full DVI port. Not a fan of having to use adapters, carry more of them around. More things built in, the better. I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of the new trackpad, though I'm not all that annoyed with it. even after the firmware update (recognizes all clicks now), it still has some problems that need to be fixed (cursor freeze after typing). I just pray it's not a hardware thing, as I'm in Africa now for a very long time.
Also, I own two of them and one has already been replaced. The screen was loose on one and would not stay in place very well when adjusted. I went to the apple store and ask them just to tighten it. He said it'd have to be sent out for repair, or they could replace it on the spot! Usually the replacement thing is only 14 days, and I was already a month in at this point. I think I'm just starting to get really good customer service b/c I've spent so much money with them over the years. I think nearly half of them know me by name when I walk into the store. Having a business account makes a HUGE difference.

Sep 14th 2008 7:29PM HDV is broadcast? I'm pretty sure HDV is a recording format, not a broadcast format. If you're just talking about resolution and frame rate, standard HDV is the same as broadcast. But the actual HDV format is not broadcasted.
And what 'show' are you talking about? Why would only part of a show be one format and then broadcasted in a different format the rest of the time.

Sep 11th 2008 6:51PM high def is useless if the quality bites. That's the reason I stuck with Canon's SD850. It's amazing really. I can shoot higher than 640x480, but then you can only do a max of 15fps. I almost got the Lumix/Leica camera that did 720p, but it just wasn't worth the crazy cost and didn't have the image quality of the canon's. Not to mention the canon is way smaller and lighter.

LaCie's new LCDs put NTSC to shame {Engadget}
Sep 10th 2008 11:03AM NTSC gamut is still a standard that can be applied outside of TVs. It's just a measurement of the color spectrum. You could apply it to a printed photo if you wanted to.
