Jul 27th 2007 6:18PM I've had this DVR since October of 06. I've actually had very few problems with it, and unless you're into picking nits, it's been ROCK SOLID since February. I've recommended it to friends (who have since remained friends) and used it for hours on end with great results.
Nothing is perfect and this isn't either, but I find myself spending far more time thinking of new features I would like to see than worrying about bugs.

Nov 10th 2006 3:23PM Had my HR20 for two months with the normal early adopter issues. A lot of people weren't prepared for the experience of such a new piece of hardware, but I expected it. In general very satisfied. Of course there have been hiccups but nothing catastrophic. I think the PVR Wire review was overly negative compared to my own experiences. Also there are several folks over at DBStalk.com who are extremely helpful in diagnosing probems.

They shoot a lot of the audience reactions before the show so everyone looks fresh and excited. They warm you up with music and tell you that only the interesting people make it to the audience reaction shots.
I was actually in Ellen's audience about 12 months ago. It's not my fault, my wife actually got tickets and it was very important to her that I go. You have to wait in line for several hours to get in, then only some of the people get into the main room (first come first served.) My wife waited 9 months for tickets as well, so by the time you get into the room you're pretty stoked.
