They still make that? VW Golf Mk1 ends production after 25 years {Autoblog}

Nov 6th 2009 8:09PM Tooling doesn't last that long. And I doubt the shipped the machine's from PA when all they really needed was the dies and such.

Comcast announces new bandwidth throttling scheme (update: old news) {Engadget}

Nov 6th 2009 7:20PM LOL, you're kidding right? why should people out in the middle of nowhere be subsidized by people that live in cities so they can order high speed internet from one guy while WE all pay for the other 4 guys to pass his boonieville house so he can "have a choice".

The USA has like what? 10 times the land mass of all the countries people cry about having more choices? Soon as you figure a way for comcast, or your local telephone company to magically string wires for not cost, you can cry about competition.

Comcast announces new bandwidth throttling scheme (update: old news) {Engadget}

Nov 6th 2009 7:16PM waa waaa waaaa. that's all i see in this thread. you guys asked for this, instead of letting them handle it in a way that effected hardly nobody, now they have an excuse to punish the worse offenders even doing legal things on the network.

great job cry babies! let's see what this round of waawaaawaaaing gets you?

btw, i hear some guy named "jesus" was recently killed by the romans, oh wait, that's old news too? damn, glad i didn't post this to some national blog and make myself look like a clueless ahole..

European Space Agency launches flood-predicting, earth monitoring satellite {Engadget}

Nov 6th 2009 7:09PM Is it reeeealy hard to figure out that when you launch a "science" mission to prove your political beliefs, there really isn't much "science" involved?

BTW, when this gives them data like the satellite tempurature readings that show almost NO global warming, they will poopoo this satellite data too, ignore it and keep pointing out that 1% of antartica that warmed up a tiny bit when the rest of the continent froze even deeper and had records amount of ice/snow increases this year.

Politicians are NOT SCIENTISTS.

REPORT: Generation Y will "redefine" automotive market, trends green and big {Autoblog}

Oct 31st 2009 8:40PM Hmm, let's see. The Volt will cost about $18k more then a gas powered version. Can we have a bit of common sense here? Where are the "Y"ers coming up with this extra cash?

All this "green" stuff is bunk. People can't afford cars 1/3rd as much extra upfront cost for possible savings down the road.

The ONLY way new technology, expensive new technology comes to the masses is by early adopters spending the extra money for it. And since there is little to know advantage to electric or "alternative" fuel vehicles, expect them to fail unless the US government spends our kids future money to force it.

Dodge Challenger goes Plum Crazy Purple for 2010 {Autoblog}

Oct 17th 2009 7:52AM Glad to see they finally added a snowplow to that flat front end..

VIDEO: Vette versus Impreza at the scariest track day ever {Autoblog}

Oct 17th 2009 7:46AM I don't know, 2 wrongs don't make a right.

If you know you're racing against a RWD corvette, in the rain, that is all over the track and he bumps you maybe you need to stay a little further away from him and be a smarter driver instead of playing tag?

Letting your emotions get the better of you in a race is always bad, you never win that way.

Please hammer, don't hurt Samsung's flexible OLED prototype (video) {Engadget}

Oct 16th 2009 11:27PM As soon as they come out with a PCB and electronics that can do the same trick they might have something then..

Video: Mega 64's $300 PSP Go joke {Joystiq}

Oct 15th 2009 8:46PM Come ON! Haven't these guys ever seen even ONE Loonytoons? Jeez, like there's a million ways they could have tried to put the disc in, and with clever editing they could have made it look like they bought one, tried to put the disk in some stupid way (slingshot the disc at the PSP, dropped the unit from the top of a building onto a disc on the ground etc) taken it back and got another, tried aanother stupid way to put it in, repeat till gamestop guy puts a memory stick in and says "just download the games dude".

Finland says that 1Mb broadband is a right, not a privilege {Engadget}

Oct 15th 2009 7:10PM Finland. Where the government takes every penny you make except 15% of your paycheck. THAT's a FACT people, Look it up.

If you love having your government decide what's important to you,by all means move to Finland, or any other nordic nation.
