Nov 4th 2009 1:48PM This is an absolute dealbreaker for me. I will not buy a DROID without tethering, which I need for day to day business (and I'm unwilling to buy another data plan to use with a USB cell modem). Too bad for me - I guess I'm getting a Blackberry Tour after all when I upgrade next week.

Feb 8th 2009 7:31PM I also think Ellen's resurrection will be a flashback, but because it would make sense for storytelling, not because it requires any of the resurrection technology we've seen in the series so far. Remember, the final five predate the "modern" cylon race, which is about 50 years old, by at least 2,000 years. They must have their own infrastructure to survive that long.

Dec 3rd 2008 10:50AM I agree with Dan that the employees were grossly mistreated. So were any customers who ordered merchandise and can't pick it up (according to a Boston Globe story today). Of course it's a reckless thing to hack a corporate website and I bet they'll sue the pants off the hackers if they can track them down....but then again, corporate malfeasance is reckless, too.

Nov 25th 2008 8:36AM @JDS: True, streaming isn't the same as downloading, but I think most consumers think of it as basically the same except for the convenience of starting a streamed movie right away. Consumers will be annoyed when studios start lining up exclusive deals with competing services and their proprietary set-top boxes. Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't this HD-DVD and Blu-Ray all over again?

Nov 24th 2008 10:55PM If content distributors think they will start a digital download revolution with competing, propietary boxes they're nuts. I'm very likely to sit it out until the industry figures out a workable hardware/software standard. You'd think they'd learn something from the high-def DVD format wars, but you'd think wrong.
