Jan 5th 2009 4:53PM If you get newer equipment, you'll have fewer cables by just using HDMI while having the best quality video and sound.
I have just 2 HDMI cables: one to the TV from the receiver, and one from the receiver to my PS3. (I use CableCARD for my antenna.) How clean is that!?

Nov 6th 2008 4:35PM This is too true. I had to get my parents' TVs set up, and while it's simple for the Gen-X and younger crowd, I can see how the older generations would be completely confused.
Then again, I don't know how they ever hooked up their DVD player.
After it was done, they are loving the clear picture and extra channels though.
