Aug 19th 2008 4:50PM I have a very nice Integra receiver that upscales, but is component only. I also have a Wii that is component only. My HD TiVo does HDMI, but I don't use it since I switch everything via my receiver. Maybe if I get a new Harmony remote to handle all of the various inputs, I won't care as much.
Plus, since I'm not buying a Blu-Ray player until there is a good standalone option (though that may be soon, with Sony's new release), I'm fine with component.
I can't imagine replacing my receiver any time soon - it is a real workhorse.

Aug 1st 2008 1:51PM I wish I didn't have to use it, but I do. We have 3-4 licenses, so upgrading is always deemed the way to go. That, and all of our collateral and our textbooks are prepared in Quark.
I will say that the Mac version is better than the Windows version :)

Feb 27th 2008 11:51AM I HATE that the remote is Bluetooth. I want a real IR remote, since all of my other gear works with one. Plus, the games on the Wii seem like more fun, as I'm not really a "shooter" fan. I'll get a Wii and a standalone player.

Feb 14th 2008 3:42PM I have the box pictured on my kitchen TV. Chose it as it is very small. The main issue with it is that there is NO guide at all - hard to get used to!

Feb 8th 2008 11:21AM Victor Garber is a singer, and that was indeed him. He's always good in whatever role he finds himself in, but his Alias character was my favorite (and his guest spot on Frasier).
I liked the show more last week, but I think I see where they are taking it. It could work, and so far I'm still watching.

TiVo killing off the Series3, focusing on TiVo HD? {Engadget HD}
Feb 1st 2008 3:52PM I had occasional tuning and recoding issues with my TiVo HD when using Comcast (and some ancient SciAmerica cards), but since moving to Verizon FiOS (and better Motorola cable cards), I haven't had any issues to speak of.
