LTE has a promise of lower latency. I've seen latency lower than 10 ms being promised. That would be quite an achievement.

Jan 16th 2009 4:59PM At the time - '97/'98 the Divx debacle probably delayed the DVD introduction with a year or so, as some studios, most notably Disney bought in to the Divx craze and it was not so clear how successful it would be. In retrospect I can agree that it appears silly. And in all honestly, I believe CC bailed in this market several years ago, so my "boycott" have been sustained in part from not having a local store anymore.

Sounds like China and the USA have the same approach; rest of the world decided on DVB, US on ATSC and we are still playing catch-up on the wireless side due to major players picking CDMA over GSM.

Oct 17th 2008 4:31PM The PS3 plays m2ts files, but I have not been able to get subtitles to play. With the PCH I can play back the m2ts file and sub titles will be displayed if I have an external sub file in the same directory with the same file name as the m2ts file.
Does anyone know how the TViX handles subtitles in m2ts files?
