Poll: How important is surround sound to you? {Engadget HD}
Nov 15th 2009 10:20PM I have a 3.0 setup. The room isn't the easiest to wire the surrounds, with an open back wall into the kitchen, but I consider the center channel to be very important for the dialog in TV shows and movies.
Poll: Would you rather see live 1080p or high quality 3D from your cable / satellite provider? {Engadget HD}
Oct 4th 2009 5:12PM I'd much rather have 720/60p than 1080/30p.

Ask Engadget HD: Best Blu-ray optical drive for my PC? {Engadget HD}
Jan 14th 2009 1:17PM The software is still too far behind for me to buy a drive for an HTPC. I'm still hoping Windows7 will fix that little problem by integrating playback into Media Center (Or have a pay-for option to do so).
Apple's Steve Jobs calls Blu-ray "a bag of hurt" {Engadget HD}
Oct 16th 2008 11:07AM It's Blu Ray. There's no 'e' in it (regardless of the carelessness of the Blockbuster signs).
New Bright House DVR software rolling out en masse to Central Floridians {Engadget HD}
Oct 8th 2008 11:31AM Uggh. I hate it. I've had it since July, and the interface is horrid. It is slow and laggy. "Based on Java" is the splashscreen that shows first during the 5 minute (literally) boot-up. If I had visibility, I'd switch back to Dish Network in a hearbeat. Better service, much better quality picture, and their DVR rocks.
Ask Engadget HD: Which cable / interconnect brand should I rely on? {Engadget HD}
