Aug 20th 2009 11:15PM Steve, Congrats on the new TV. Just wondering what the difference is between the KRP-500M\600M and the PRO-101FD\141FD. THE PRO monitors are currently on pioneers US website. Are the KRP models their newer or older models? Are they the same models just named differently?

I'm currently in the market for a blu ray player and the two on my list are the Panasonic BMP-BD55K and Sony BDP-S550. Just wondering if you guys would recommend one over the other. It will be directly connected to a 60inch Sony KDS-60A2000 initially and then through a surround processor in the future.

I see your point about the blu ray players and I would want to update them for sure. I wouldn't install a plug just for that though. Plus, I'm not really into all the blu-ray connectivity features. I just want to watch hi def movies and that's it. In my case I would just drag a long cat5 cable temporarily from my router to my player to do the updates.

I think the other reason why people don't go the Apple TV or Vudu route is because most people don't have an internet plug behind there tv. For your average Joe the Plumber this would be more of an inconvience. I mean personally I think this very issue is going to sway me towards a blu ray player. I just don't really feel like going through all the hassle of putting an internet plug behind my tv. Great podcast!

Sep 15th 2008 7:54PM I live in Arizona and I'm going through Cox for my HD service and basic cable. Lately I have been hearing that Dish Network has the better service as far as HD quality. One example is last week I had a TV repair guy replacing my optics block on my Sony RPTV and he was mentioning that I had a real nice setup for home theater audio. He mentioned that I must care about audio a lot. Then he pointed at my Cox cable box and said that I must not care about video because Cox HD quality is flat and washed out. Then he told me he has Dish Network and that their HD quality is so much better. Just wondering if you guys think it would be worth it to make the switch to Dish Network. Keep up the good work on the podcast guys!
