Aug 18th 2009 11:44AM I think Sony made the right decision. The market for OLED will be very limited in the near future. For Sony to bolster its bottom line, they have to go after the mass market. Acidophiles are not mass market and not where most of the money to be made. The WOW factor will not translate into big bucks in the current economic environment which could last for a while.

Aug 18th 2009 11:22AM I am having trouble receiving local CBS and ABC after they moved to VHF in the DC area. Had to get a second antenna and PC upstairs to record shows and transfer them to my primary HTPC. It's a pain. Fortunately NFL and Sunday night football will mostly be on Fox and NBC.

Jul 31st 2009 6:46PM I have both HTPC and ROKU. They are using different streams. The PC stream is significantly inferior to the ROKU stream even with the new version of Silverlight. I've given up watching Netflix on my HTPC. HD streaming via ROKU is OK but so bad via HTPC on a 120 inch screen. Small screens may be fine.
I have a feeling that this is intentional. Providers never want PC content to be watched on TV. Not sure which streams the other hardware (Xbox360, Samsung BR, LG BR, etc) is using.
