MLB The Show returns in March 2009 {Joystiq Playstation}
Dec 22nd 2008 10:28PM My thoughts exactly. I have 08 and if they don't include the Homerun Derby, I probably won't upgrade. That is one feature that I really hope makes it into the PS3 version.
Apple's Steve Jobs calls Blu-ray "a bag of hurt" {Engadget}
Oct 14th 2008 9:16PM If standard definition is good enough for most people, then why are so many HDTV's selling? People want hi-def, just not at the premium price of Blu-ray. When the prices of the discs and players drop you will start to see many HDTV owners finally make that jump to Blu-ray. Having an HDTV and watching SD movies is like owning a Lamborghini and never putting the pedal to the metal to see what it could really do.
Panasonic's DMP-BD30 Blu-ray player falls to $259 -- are high prices behind us? {Engadget HD}

Analyst calls for PS3 price cut, Sony says no thanks {Joystiq Playstation}
Oct 8th 2008 5:09PM Then why reply to my post, instead of replying to the thread? It wouldn't be a bad idea to drop the price of the PS3 instead increasing the hdd. It would sell more consoles which will increase the sales of software and accessories. If they don't drop the price, I believe the PS3 will not out sell the 360. This is my opinion which I am entitled to.
Analyst calls for PS3 price cut, Sony says no thanks {Joystiq Playstation}
Oct 8th 2008 4:20PM Who said I was complaining? I have a PS3 already and I paid $600 too. I was talking about the casual gamer or those that are thinking about buying a console for the first time. It would make their decision easier if there wan't a $200 difference in systems. I believe the PS3 is worth every penny I paid for it, but not everyone know what the PS3 is capable. So, the PS3 will lose on alot of possible sales cause of the price difference. $50 per console will not hurt Sony in the long run and will make that money up in software sales.

Oct 8th 2008 3:27PM I think the $200 difference will be big jump for the casual gamer, that they will probably not make. It would be nice if Sony dropped the price atleast $50.
PC Watch: PS4 could be based on Cell architecture {Joystiq Playstation}
Sep 30th 2008 1:26PM Twice as powerful and more memory. I'll take it. If it is based on the PS3, by the time 2011-2012 comes around the PS4 shouldn't be very expensive to develop. Think about it, developers haven't even made any games that utilize the PS3's full potential. Some of these games that are being released look amazing. So twice as powerful is alot in this case.
So as long as the PS4 can play PS3 games, costs less to manufacture, and launches at a price point better than the PS3 I will definately be picking one up. Maybe not on launch date, but within the first 12-18 months.
Burnout Paradise Trophy patch now live, not retroactive {Joystiq Playstation}
Sep 25th 2008 11:39AM Its definately not an option for me to start over once again with a fresh new game. I already restarted once when my PS3's Harddrive crashed. I had 101% completion and all challenges done when the HDD crashed. I now have the game at 101% again but I don't feel like going through the hassle of doing all of the challenges again. Trophies are not that important to me to restart the game for a 3rd time. Maybe in a few years with the next burnout.
Did you cheap out on a TV stand? It probably just got recalled. {Engadget HD}
Sep 25th 2008 12:43AM I posted the pics on Blu-ray.com almost a year ago when I finished it. I now have a 50" Panasonic 1080p Plasma instead of that 46" Sharp. Huge upgrade in picture quality IMO. I also moved the ps3 to the bottom left center shelf. I'm also looking to upgrade my receiver to an Onkyo 606. Hopefully it will be a christmas gift from the wife.

Sep 24th 2008 6:03PM I guess its a good thing to be handy. I built my own custom entertainment center out of oak and stained it golden oak. It cost alot more to build than it would have to buy a standard entertainment center, but the quality doesn't even come close. Plus, I can say no one in the world has an entertainment center like mine.
