Nov 22nd 2006 8:36PM No, no, no, don't be fooled by the commercial. Directv doesn't have any kind of HD here in the south of the continent. I don't know if there's even a plan for rolling HDTV in South America.
The only thing they're doing is using Dolby 5.1 in some premium channels, but they are not offering decoders with digital sound output (nor optical or coaxial) so we're stuck with stereo.
