Oct 8th 2008 4:29PM wow, so, they compared the 2010 Mazda 3 to a 1999 Volkswagen? High praise, maybe fore the 20th century....

Rumormill: Audi considering more powerful RS6 Avant {Autoblog}
May 15th 2008 4:24PM Chin up! My guess is that they're only pumping up the RS6 engine because they're already tuning it for the V10 R8. Perhaps the engine's production line will overlap with the RS6 life cycle. More than likely, we'll see the same V10 in the US, but not in an Avant.
But the next drivetrain I DO want to see in an avant here in the US is the 3.0 TDI 6MT Quattro in the new A4 Avant!!
Porsche 911 update includes 100% more awesome: Direct-injection, dual-clutch gearbox {Autoblog}
Apr 4th 2008 11:51PM yes. and the R32's DSG also incorporates a wet clutch and only 6 gears, both of which have already been abandoned by VWAG. I think it's pretty obvious the DSG going into the Porsches will be significantly different than the R32's old tranny.
The question in the post was whether DSG was compatible with a 4WD drive train.
Since the Carrara 4S' wetclutch AWD system is being replaced by haldex, it would be a no brainer to add DSG.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Porsche decided to go with Haldex for that very reason.

Apr 4th 2008 10:44PM the DSG in the Carrera 4 will likely come hand in hand with their introduction of Haldex AWD.
The R32 has had DSG+Haldex for a while now.
