Adult Video Network launches channel for VUDU set-top-box {Engadget HD}

Aug 9th 2008 12:27PM This really is a pathetic move by VUDU and an act of obvious desperation. They have at best sold approximately 15,000 units (VUDU recently confirmed unit sales in the 5 digit range).

With free porn so readily available through P2P downloads and elsewhere, I find it hard to believe that many will pony up $300 plus rental fees for HD smut. VUDU is just forestalling the inevitable.
