Atleast now samsung can open up the sony and see how they can speed up their development of 240Hz lcds.

Jul 23rd 2008 12:06PM sony announced the XBR8 and other new XBR series lcds a while back,
XBR8 has a TRI COLOR LED backlight called "Triluminos " which is supposed to be far superior to anything on the market.
