Windows 7 E coming to Europe without Internet Explorer {Engadget}
Jun 12th 2009 3:45AM Completely agree. As much as I dislike using IE how are you supposed to get another browser without one to start with? It's all well saying OEMs can bundle what they like but what about people buying it off the shelf? What would be best surely is that it comes with IE (not like they'll ever bundle anything else in there) and have the option to fully remove it if desired without it impacting on the windows shell in any way.
Poll: Do you own / plan to own an HTPC? {Engadget HD}
Jul 5th 2008 1:53PM I have, like many others, my own hand built HTPC which is actually just the old bits from my main rig in a quiet setup.
I also don't have a HDTV yet as until this year's panasonic plasma range have been unwilling to drop £1000 on a hdtv that has a substandard picture and can't handle 24fps (i know there are pioneers for more and picture quality is in the eye of the beholder but my time isn't yet, close, but not yet)
Onkyo's TX-SA706X 7.1 receiver is beastly, Mr. T approved {Engadget HD}

Quite often people need 2 HDMI out, one for their HDTV and one for a projector.
