Google Calendar CalDAV/iCal syncing now official {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Dec 2nd 2008 12:12PM Yes, this is a problem too. . It would be much improved if they were at most grouped into a single category of "online calendars" (or something).
Google Calendar CalDAV/iCal syncing now official {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Dec 2nd 2008 12:11PM Agree--and don't underestimate this problem. It's huge to me. the iCal integration of gcal is imperfect. It treats each google calendar (or from each google account) as totally separate, so you can't move events from one to the other. Also, you can't accept meeting/event invitations into a google calendar, only a "local" one.
If you have only one calendar, gcal/ical works really well. But once you have more than one, not so much (or it's limited in functionality).
The Blackberry Storm - An iPhone 'Killer'? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 25th 2008 9:06AM I am just sick of the phrase "killer" with respect to any product.
Is the product going to compete effectively? Sure, some people will prefer it.
Is it going to put the iPhone out of business? No way, not this year.
It's not going to "kill" the iPhone. Most "killer" products aren't going to take away virtually all of the sales of the other product. They're just going to be good competition for it.
Let's get a new phrase that's not so lazy and inaccurate.
Sony says non-discounted goods make life easier for you {Engadget HD}
Nov 21st 2008 4:45PM I agree with him -- I don't benefit from "shopping around". I'd rather spend my time comparing price/quality of Sony versus other companies' products. If Sony's don't stack up, I'll buy the other product. If Sony's "best" price isn't that good, well, no sale.

Nov 12th 2008 9:31AM What Mex said -- just deauthorize whatever you have (if you want). You can do it once a year regardless, so it doesn't harm anything to use it now.
Viewsonic announces new digital photo frames, neither with WiFi {Engadget}
Nov 10th 2008 3:27PM Why do companies keep introducing the same thing? A frame that uses memory cards. Aren't there enough options already?
How about one that really works on wifi. And better yet, one that allows me to send pictures to my mom's frame on her wifi network. Without a huge expense. adn works with Macs and PCs (or just Macs, but yeah I know).

Nov 7th 2008 3:47PM Leaning a bike sideways over the sensor always did the trick for me.
If I put that thing on it would be because I don't care about going anywhere fast, which I could also accomplish just by waiting for a car.
