Oct 25th 2009 9:54AM The idea that PV solar is green is nuts--and I speak as somebody with 4.7Kw on his garage right now. The energy required to grow those crystals and manufacture arrays is very significant. And do you think that the mass production of crystalline silicon is a pollution-free industry? Sorry, but the only way to have energy with which to muddle through the forseeable future entails undesirable byproducts. Grow up.

Oct 23rd 2009 12:25AM Ha! Actually, the only people more ridiculous than people who think wires "make all the difference" are people who can't hear anything good from a Bose. Sure, a Bose Wave radio is overpriced, but for $75 from a pawn shop it's a killer item.

I want a 6-oz travel scale that I can take with me on my 35 trips/year that will talk to my laptop. I don't need any display whatsoever. Just give me super-light weight, accuracy (+/- .1lb/kg) and I'll be happy as a clam

Oct 1st 2009 11:00PM The notion that "FM sucks" only applies to the crappy gear that is typically available. I've used low-power FM gear (self-designed) that considerably exceeds broadcast specs for wireless audio distribution around the house. The Ramsey FM25B would do a reasonable job, especially if tweaked.
