Samsung shows off SMT-3090 tru2way DVR {Engadget HD}

Jun 2nd 2008 6:01AM How can anyone complain or have a problem with Open Cable tru2way? It's a dream come true because it means the cable industry doesn't rule with an iron fist. We are not at the mercy of using THEIR box and paying THEIR box rental fees so they can get more money from us. Now you can walk into a store, pick up the box of your choice (just like cable modems) and still be able to use on demand, and schedule recordings (on the DVR versions).
