Sep 24th 2009 9:48AM This is only for their Bronx and Brooklyn systems, not all systems, and the reason is cable theft.

Supreme Court declines to hear remote storage DVR appeal, cloud recording is on the way {Engadget HD}

Jun 29th 2009 2:10PM If you forget to record it, even with the RS-DVR you're SOL. The whole argument was that each customer got their own hard drive space for recordings and you had to set up and watch your recording. There is no master recording to share are you can't access someone elses recording.

Make it four: Cablevision also increasing rates in 2009 {Engadget HD}

Nov 3rd 2008 3:02PM Cablevision always announces their rate changes at this time of year. Why would most people switch to cable due to the analog shutoff? You can get digital signals with an antenna and there are those government subsidized converters if you have an old TV.

AT&T celebrates a year of U-verse in Connecticut {Engadget HD}

Nov 3rd 2008 10:10AM They've been available to me in CT for almost two years, it's just that all the legal issues they had changed how they were clasified by the state DPUC a year ago. Their limitation on HD streams, and lack of RSN's in HD, keeps me with Cablevision. Also for a comparable triple play they actually would cost me more then I am paying with Cablevision, even after the Cablevision rate increase goes into effect.
