Mac 101: Spaces for your screen and brain {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Mar 30th 2009 7:27PM I tried to use spaces when we first got Leopard here at work, but unfortunately it makes Final Cut crash at least once a day. So no virtual desktops for me...

Paradigm "Phantom" Cinema Gaming speaker system review {Engadget HD}

Oct 23rd 2008 8:33PM Second that. Bought myself Monitor 7s last year, and I can say it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. If this system was around when I was shopping, I would have seriously considered these guys too. As it stands though, Paradigm makes a hell of a product and you can do a lot worse for yourself.

Great review, too.

Random YouTube Magic: Anquan Boldin Gets KTFO by Eric Smith's Cheap Shot {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Sep 29th 2008 5:55PM Clearly it was helmet to helmet, but it's hard to see any malicious intent here... A fine might be in order, but even that is hard to justify seeing how the league didn't reprimand anyone for McGahee's eye getting gouged.

Obviously let's just hope Boldin is ok. Seeing someone lying on the field like that is always scary.

More Namco Bandai arcade remakes planned {Joystiq Xbox}

Sep 16th 2008 1:28PM How about Rampage? I used to love that game.

'Unofficial' XBLA Duke Nukem 3D gets ESRB rating {Joystiq Xbox}

Jul 31st 2008 4:21PM Anyone who isn't excited about this is a bottom feeding scum sucking algae eater.

Extending your iPhone's battery {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jul 23rd 2008 5:42PM I have turned this off, and have noticed a clear increase in battery life. That being said, I have also been using wifi both at work and in my office much more than 3g, so that might also be the reason.

Poll: What's your favorite HD movie channel? {Engadget HD}

May 22nd 2008 6:05PM HDNet Movies plays an amazing variety of films, from recent releases to old classics like Lawrence of Arabia (stunning in HD!) and Dr Strangelove and dozens of other National Film Registry titles. It's as if the schedule is built by people who legitimately love film as an art form, not just film as a business.

I have Time Warner Cable and it blows, but I am so happy they provide this channel even if it is on the HD tier. I've been thinking about switching to either U-Verse or DirecTV, but before I do either I'm making sure they provide this channel, because if they don't I won't!
