May 19th 2008 12:42PM "Yeah, it's ironic that the Pioneer store will be populated by Panasonic panels..." is not correct. In this FY, 9G panels will be 100% R&D, manufactured and assembled in Pioneer facilities by Pioneer engineers. In the next FY, Matsushita and Pioneer will merge their two PDP divisions and jointly develop panels used for plasma displays. Pioneer and Panasonic will both use identical panels, but both companies will develop independently of one another their own drivers and processors in order to maintain a clear distinction between the lines.
