Sony streaming Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs free to new customers, expensively to existing ones {Engadget HD}

Nov 9th 2009 9:11AM That is obviously way too much.

On the other hand I freakin loved this movie. It is more geared toward kids but I thought it was hilarious...seriously.

iPhone vs DROID multitouch keyboard showdown (video) {Engadget}

Nov 5th 2009 9:23PM I actually was confused until I cued in on his tone. For half the clip I thought that it was a good thing that you couldn't hit multiple keys at the same time...and I still do, sort of. I do totally get the 'not being able to hold shift' thing, but otherwise it doesn't make much difference to me. The whole multi-touch thing in general doesn't mean much to me. I don't know who these people are who just mess with there phone all day are but its not me. I just want the touch to work well/fast and the hardware in general to work well. Multi-touch is waaaayy down the list of features that I think make much difference.

Still, I absolutely get the need for this video. It was quick and to the point. After hearing all the chatter it you can count on Engadget to put tech speculation to rest if the get the opportunity. Good stuff.

How do you like your TiVo, with bleeps & bloops or without? {Engadget HD}

May 18th 2009 9:53AM Without. Definitely.

It is always weird how on TV shows/movies you hear the bloop-bleeps. Obviously they want you to know that it is TIVO, and they are 'with it'. I can't imagine anyone leaving those on. It would be hard not to laugh if I went over someone's house and they had them on.

If you saw Star Trek or The Dark Knight on IMAX Digital, did you get your money's worth? {Engadget HD}

May 16th 2009 5:30PM Hells-yeah. This is what I'm talking about. Let the people know where you get jipped and where you won't.

I saw IMAX 'fake' in Dallas(Dark Knight) and today in Midlothian VA(Star Trek). I don't know about that green peg in Dallas up there, I must of went to a different theater further south closer to downtown...can't remember the name.

Laptop Hunters part five: same schtick, different Lauren {Engadget}

May 15th 2009 8:30AM Really?! ...We are still talking about a commercial!? Dude, it is a commercial. You know the things you see on TV to promote companies and their products. I could be wrong, but they usually to show the company/product in its best possible light and don't normally focus on any negatives of their own product.

In the big picture, I think the Microsoft ad guys win big time. WHY, because there are over 200 comments on this post.

DirecTV HD TiVo actually not due until 2010 {Engadget HD}

May 5th 2009 6:06PM Call me crazy, but I had a Tivo in 2000 and got the Directv Tivo when it first came out and had the DIrectv HD Tivo(HR10-250) and now have just two Directv HR20s and I have to say I much prefer the HR20s to any Tivo I've owned.

Now having said that, I'll take the extra features (multi-room viewing, amazon unbox, podcasts, ect.) from Tivo on my Directv HD DVR. But just for regular viewing, I find the HR20 faster and easier to navigate and also like the constant live picture box in almost all menus.

Philips Prestigo SRT9320 color touchscreen remote ready for preorders, shipping someday {Engadget HD}

Apr 24th 2009 9:02AM It certainly LOOKS good, but I wonder about touchscreen remotes. Does anyone really want to look at their remote to activate a function beyond 'turn on/off stuff'?

Just give me infinite compatibility with good buttons, which is the most confounding fail in the industry-buttons...well located, durable yet comfortable. Is that so hard?
