May 19th 2008 2:23PM Oh, and directv has HAD MGM HD, Universal HD, HDNET Theater/Movies, Etc for months now. They make up a 4.99/mo package if you want them. MGM is the one I watch the least of these - many older movies, but occasionally some good ones.

May 19th 2008 2:19PM When comcast catches up with actual HD channel count, then all of their VOD BS might matter. Directv has this option too. Personally, I can barely keep up with all of the stuff on my DVR now. I'd rather have more HD channels, which is why I have directv.

Directv has had all of them and more since last October/December and then whenever a station adds another one thereafter - and yes this includes Travel HD. I've been watching SciFi HD for months now. Gee Dish might have a whole 90 by year's end, when Directv will have well over 100 - they can and do add the new ones as they start broadcasting. I think Encore HD is next and we already have HD channels for HBO, CINEMAX, STARZ, SHOWTIME, Universal, ...
